Author Biography

Born in 1943, Pierre Dukan has been a nutritionist doctor for more than thirty years, specialising in eating behaviour and nutritional re-education. Author of numerous books on the subject, he is one of the leading specialists in nutrition and has contributed to the scientific development of this discipline.

Pierre Dukan worked in the department of the eminent Professor Dreyfus at the Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris. He was the first to use the protein-based diet, which he later made available to the public by publishing his best-selling book Je ne sais pas maigrir.

Structured in four phases — simple and above all effective over the long term — the Dukan method has already won over more than a million people!

He is also a doctor who, for once, is not obsessed with thinness and even praises curves in Les hommes préfèrent les rondes.

He is the author of many works, including the best-seller La Méthode Dukan as well as L’Intégrale des recettes illustrées pour réussir la méthode and Les recettes Dukan, published by Éditions Flammarion.
